OPPORTUNITY:

Create a first-of-its-kind public art and multi-media installation in Bryant Park, in the heart of midtown Manhattan.

STRATEGY:

In the art world, the barriers to entry are steep and long-term. Leveraging a background in project management, media development and large-scale event production, I collaborated with the artist and producer developing a comprehensive plan to launch the project, produce multi-platform media, and introduce the artist's vision, philosophy and artwork to the world.

RESULTS:

  • Launched Analogia on Saturday, March 8th, 2014.
  • Created and managed $270,000 budget overseeing all project operations.
  • Developed communication, media and fundraising tools that attracted investors and introduced the project to the world.
  • Negotiated contracts and secured permits ensuring compliance with all City, Parks Department and DOB regulations.

ANALOGIA

"David is the rarest of people - a true leader who delivers what he commits. From wealthy investors to veteran craftsmen to the greenest interns he somehow gets the best from everyone he works with. He is thoughtful, inclusive, gives amazing counsel, thinks through all possibilities, considers all options and when it's time to act does so decisively and gets things done. Explaining his full value is hardly possible, so I'll sum up this way: Analogia was an incredibly complex project that we simply could not have completed without him."
